Taking advantage of a cubs drop off at Hichingbrooke, Rebecca and I went on a little ramble. We saw lots of rabbits on our travels. Also we spotted lots if Ox Eye Daisies and lots of these moths which we think are Six Spot Burnets . We even spotted a few in crysalis form on some grass blades.

Lyme Park
On a lovely sunny day in the Easter holidays, we visited Lyme Park, a National Trust property near Stockport.
We first went to the gardens where we wandered around the lake, climbed a tree, enjoyed the delicious scented flowers of the orangery, and developed our map reading skills.
After exploring the gardens, we headed to the children's play area. This is a really great area for the children to explore with slides, adventurous climbing frames, rocks, and sand pits.
Mum headed off into the woods to look for birds. There were plenty of very noisy great tits and robins.
